It’s that special time of year when Arbour Month, Tourism Month, and Heritage Month come together for a triple celebration.
In addition to Casual Day, which supports persons with disabilities, we’ve just received 10 green gifts from the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) – perfectly timed for this Saturday’s community clean-up and tree planting at Zwelihle Sports Grounds, Hermanus.
A big thank you to Masithandaze Falitenjwa and Patric Mdale from DFFE for ensuring the trees arrived on time!
Originally, Deputy President Paul Mashatile was expected to attend, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the Minister of Tourism will now step in to represent his office.
Alongside other national departments, including SALGA, key stakeholders are in the Overberg District for an oversight visit – aiming to boost land reform, support community development, and drive a national initiative for cleaner, greener spaces through active community participation.
See you in Zwelihle on Saturday, 6 September from 10:00 – you’re invited!
