Having difficulty using the Job Application Portal?
Make sure your profile is complete

Overstrand Municipality’s seasonal job opportunities are open for applications.

Applicants are encouraged to ensure that their profiles on the Job Application Portal are complete before applying.

Some applicants experience errors when trying to apply and assume that the Job Application Portal is not working. However, these errors may occur because important personal information, such as an ID number, has not yet been completed on their profile.

The Job Application Portal has a useful feature that helps applicants identify exactly what information is still missing before they can apply for a position.

How to check if your profile is complete:
  1. Log in to the Job Application Portal using your existing account
  2. Click on “Profile” in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page
  3. Click on the profile readiness indicator (for example, “0/4 ready”), next to the Password and Save buttons. This opens a checklist showing the job categories you can apply for and the percentage of your profile completed for each category.
  4. Check what information is still needed. The checklist indicates which details are missing for each job category, such as your RSA ID or passport number, date of birth, gender, street address, suburb, town, postal code, race, qualifications, skills and work experience.
  5. Complete the outstanding information on your profile and save your changes.
  6. Return to the job advertisement and try applying again.
Applicants will not be able to submit their applications unless all required information has been completed and the necessary documents have been successfully uploaded to the Job Application Portal.

Please note that completing your profile does not automatically mean you qualify for a position.

Applicants must still meet the specific requirements of the advertised job.
