Overstrand Municipality hereby informs the public of its intention to explore a partnership with OUTsurance to fully fund a trained pointsmen programme aimed at improving traffic flow and road safety during the festive season and over a proposed three-year period.

The programme would focus on busy intersections and areas prone to traffic congestion, including access roads and parking areas at beaches, picnic sites and holiday resorts (caravan parks).

The Municipality would retain operational oversight and all statutory municipal responsibilities, while OUTsurance would provide the agreed funding and sponsorship.

Interested businesses, potential sponsors and other stakeholders may submit their comments or proposals by 26 November 2026 via email to the Director of Community Services, Gerald Esau, at gesau@overstrand.gov.za, or by contacting him on 028 313 8029.

The notice is intended to ensure transparency and give interested parties an opportunity to make representations before any proposed arrangement is finalised.
