OVERSTRAND INVITES NOMINATIONS FOR NEW WARD COMMITTEES
Nominations for Overstrand Municipality’s new Ward Committees open on 28 October 2026 and close on 16 November 2026.
Organisations/sectors or geographical blocks wishing to serve on a Ward Committee must complete the prescribed nomination process.
Organisations, sectors and geographical blocks that have already submitted an Expression of Interest must also submit a nomination form, while new applicants are welcome if they meet the qualifying criteria. Submission of an Expressions of interest form, does not mean automatic nomination. Therefore, a nomination form must also be completed.
Applications must be submitted in the ward where the organisation, sector or geographical block is located and mainly operates. With the addition of Ward 15 and changes to some ward boundaries, applicants should consult the ward demarcation information on the nomination form to confirm the correct ward.
The form also contains explanatory information and the qualifying criteria, which applicants should read before submitting their nominations.
