The Overstrand Municipality will host onsite movable asset auctions on 13 and 14 May 2025, offering a variety of items to the public, including redundant / impounded vehicles, redundant / obsolete machinery and office equipment, scrap metal and more.
Viewing for all sites – Hermanus, Gansbaai, and Kleinmond – will take place on Monday, 12 May 2025 from 10:00 – 15:30.
The auctions will take place as follows:
HERMANUS AUCTION: Tuesday, 13 May 2025
Registration: Electrical Department, Molteno Street, Onrus
Auction:
- 10:30 at the Electrical Depot in Molteno Street, Onrus
• 12:00 at the Old Ambulance Building in Magnolia Street, Hermanus
• 13:30 at the Municipal Yard behind the ‘Store’ in Mussel Street, Hermanus
Items on offer include, but are not limited to:
- Computer equipment
- Office furniture & equipment
- Fridges, power tools, cameras
- Vehicles
- Cat 428E Digger/Loader, Cat 914G Front Loader
- Large generator, substation
- Scrap materials & poles
GANSBAAI & KLEINMOND AUCTION: Wednesday, 14 May 2025
Registration: Registration for the Gansbaai and Kleinmond auctions will take place at the Electrical Department, Voortrekker Street, Gansbaai.
Auction:
- 10:30 at the Electrical Department in Voortrekker Street, Gansbaai
• 12:30 at the Municipal Yard in 13th Street, Kleinmond
Items on offer include, but are not limited to:
- Electric meters
- Water meters
- Additional municipal equipment and scrap
