WCIS 2025 is Coming: 5-7 November | Cape Town

From 5 – 7 November 2025, Cape Town will host the Western Cape Investment Summit (WCIT 2025), a high impact three-day event designed to unlock economic growth, boost private investment and create sustainable jobs across the province.

At the heart of the summit is a bold target: to grow private sector investment to 20% of regional GDP, accelerating innovation, competitiveness, and inclusive development.

This year’s programme focuses on eight high-growth sectors with significant investment potential and long-term returns:
• Technology & Digital Innovation
A vibrant ecosystem of start-ups and smart solutions in fintech, AI, and digital services.
• Green Economy & Sustainability
Opportunities in renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, water efficiency, and the circular economy.
• Agribusiness & Food Systems
Leveraging world-class exports and innovations in agri-tech, processing, and sustainable farming.
• Manufacturing & Industry
Advanced manufacturing capabilities in medical devices, electronics, and green construction materials.
• Tourism & Experiential Economy
Evolving beyond sightseeing to cultural, culinary, eco- and community-led tourism models.
• Property & Retail
Growth in mixed-use developments, urban renewal, and expanding retail infrastructure.
• Creative Industries
Investment potential in film, gaming, digital content, and design — powered by local talent and global demand.
• Logistics & Warehousing
Strategic location for trade and logistics, backed by smart infrastructure and industrial zones.

Overstrand Executive Mayor, Archie Klaas, said his understanding is that WCIS 2025 is more than a networking event – it’s a catalyst for economic impact, bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, project developers, and public sector leaders to drive action and collaboration.

He therefore encourages Overstrand business owners with investment-ready projects to submit them for inclusion in the Investment Deal Book and participate in curated matchmaking sessions connecting them directly with serious investors.
