Essentially Emergency ‘GO Bags’

Essentially Emergency ‘GO Bags’

According to the Greater Overberg Fire Protection Association (goFPA), if you are given only a few minutes to evacuate your home, you should prioritise the following items:

1. Medication – or at least a list of the chronic medication you rely on
2. Important documents – ID, driver’s licence, passports, birth certificates, house title deeds, etc.
3. Phone and charger
4. Laptop and charger
5. House and car keys
6. Prescription glasses
7. Wallet or purse
8. A change of clothes
9. Pet supplies – including any essential pet medication
If time allows, take meaningful items such as family photos or irreplaceable mementos.
