The Integrated Command Centre (ICC) urges any foreign national in the Greater Hermanus area who is being threatened, intimidated or who fears for their safety, to go to the Hermanus Police Station and report the matter. Following assessment by the relevant authorities, temporary support measures may be provided where necessary.

The ICC also wishes to clarify that only individuals who were accommodated at the designated halls and whose details were formally recorded and verified by the Department of Home Affairs were eligible to make use of the transport that was recently arranged.

The transport formed part of a managed process for identified individuals and was not available to persons who were not registered through the official process. It should therefore not be viewed as a free transport service or a free ticket to another destination.
