Organisations, sectors and geographical blocks interested in serving on Ward Committees are encouraged to get their submissions and supporting documentation ready.

Expressions of Interest for the 2027 Ward Committee Elections open on 25 September 2026 and close on 12 October 2026. The formal nomination process will then open on 23 October 2026 and close on 16 November 2026.

Remember, organisations and sectors must have been operational within the particular ward for at least six months and must have a valid constitution.

The Municipality’s Community Liaison Team is available to assist with the requirements and make the process as smooth as possible.
