The public is invited to nominate members to serve on the Overstrand Heritage and Aesthetics Committee (OHAC).
The committee plays an important role in helping to protect and preserve the unique heritage and character of the Overstrand while considering the area’s future development.
The Municipality is looking for people with an interest in the heritage of the Overstrand and a passion for conserving its built and natural environment.
Qualifications or experience in architecture, archaeology, heritage conservation or related fields would be an advantage, but anyone with a genuine interest in heritage is encouraged to apply.
Nomination proposals must be submitted in writing and signed by both a proposer and a seconder who permanently reside in the Overstrand. Each nomination must be accompanied by a short curriculum vitae (CV) of the nominee.

The Annual General Meeting of the Overstrand Heritage and Aesthetics Committee will be held on 30 July 2026 at 16:30 at the Overstrand Municipal Auditorium in Hermanus.
