Gansbaai has made it through to the first round of Kwela Dorp van die Jaar (Town of the Year) competition.

Now it all depends on our votes if we’re going to make Gansbaai even more “lekker”.

Vote at least 5 to 10 times if you can, and encourage everyone you know to do the same. Every vote makes a difference.

The stakes are high: the winning town will receive an incredible R1 million advertising contract on kykNET. This is a valuable opportunity to promote the entire Overstrand – and especially Gansbaai – as a premier tourist destination, both locally and as far afield as Namibia.

Voting lines will close on Friday afternoon, 17 April 2026 at 12:00.
