What do I do:
The objective of the Department is the promotion of social development. It aims to do this through the improvement of quality of life and wellbeing of the individual, group, or community through various interventions and partnerships. The empowerment of marginalized and disadvantaged groups is a critical contribution to social development and the realization of human rights. In this respect the Department's main focus is on the following groups:
Children
Youth
Women
Elderly
People with disabilities and
People living with HIV/AIDS.
