This account is solely for the payment of Overstrand Municipality traffic fines and the payment must include the 10 to 16 alpha-numerical digits reference number indicated on the fine. Please note that the ‘’/’’ must not be included in the reference number.

Representation does not have to be filled in on this form. A letter or email would be sufficient. The forms/letters can be delivered to t the traffic offices (fines department) or to the additional municipal court in Harmony Lane in Hermanus during office hours.

PAYMENT OF NON-TRAFFIC VIOLATION FINES

Non-traffic violation fines, also known as Sec 56 Notices (J534) and Sec 54 Summonses (J175) may be paid in person over the counter or via EFT.

PAYMENT IN PERSON:

You may pay your non-traffic violation fine in person at the cashier at the Kleinmond, Stanford or Gansbaai Administrations before the court date and/or at the Overstrand Additional Court from 08:00 – 15:00 (lunch break between 13:00 – 13:45), Monday to Fridays, before and after the court date.

PAYMENT ONLINE:

You may pay your non-traffic violation fine online into the Overstrand Municipality primary bank account.

Please transfer the correct amount and use the full fine or summons number as reference.

It is important that the correct details are entered when making EFT payments.

REPRESENTATIONS

You may dispute fines for non-traffic violations, in writing, within 30 days of receiving the fine.

A letter or email along with a clear legible copy of the notice and documentary proof (license etc.) would be sufficient.

The cashiers at the Traffic Department and Additional (Municipal) Court of the Overstrand Municipality are operational for the payment of all traffic and municipal related court fines.

Business hours will be from 08:00 to 13:00 and 13:45 to 15:00 on weekdays.

Fine payments made at the Additional Court must be accompanied by the fine issued or ID document of the offender.

The Additional Court is situated at Harmony House on the western side of the Overstrand Municipality (Hermanus Administration) offices.
