To date, 3 217 applications have been received from indigent households across the Overstrand of which 152 forms were incomplete with outstanding documentation and incorrect information.
The approved indigent applications total 2 818 with 247 new applications received during the week.
In an attempt to widen the scope for support to needy households, Overstrand Municipal officials will be available on the following Saturdays to help individuals to register for Indigent Subsidy:
- 9 September 2023: Moffat Hall in Mt Pleasant
- 9 and 23 September 2023: Proteadorp Community Hall
- 16 & 23 September 2023: Zwelihle Community Hal
- 16 September 2023: Thusong Hawston
